why is my jupiter platform fee 0.95%?
A browser extension set it. Jupiter names two: Kerberus, which it says injects a referral account and changes the platform fee to 0.95%, and Pocket Universe, which it says also injects referral fees in Jupiter swaps. Without one, an ordinary token swap on jup.ag is 0.1%. The fix is to stop the extension's fee, open a fresh window and quote the swap again.
This is the warning Jupiter says the app can show when it happens:
Your platform fee is higher than expected due to an installed browser extension not affiliated with Jupiter.
the fix
Jupiter's own steps:
- Check the fee on the quote before you approve any transaction.
- Disable or remove extensions that charge extra fees.
- Restart the browser and open a fresh window.
- Swap again on jup.ag. The fee line should be back to the normal rate for the pair.
If you want to keep the extension for other sites, the vendors' terms describe narrower switches. Kerberus ties its fee to full Sentinel3 protection and names a setting, "Enable Sentinel3 Protection"; with it disabled, its coverage no longer applies. Pocket Universe has a Skip-List in its Dashboard, and a site on it is opted out of both its security and its coverage. Either way, read the fee line afterwards instead of trusting the toggle.
Jupiter also names its own wallet extension, Jupiter Wallet. It says Jupiter Wallet includes Transaction Protection, which filters transfers to known malicious addresses that such extensions inject.
what is actually happening
Jupiter's swap API lets a third party attach a referral account and charge its own fee, from 50 to 255 bps, in place of Jupiter's platform fee. Jupiter keeps 20% of it. 0.95% is 95 bps, inside that range. Jupiter says the extensions it names "modify quote responses or inject additional referral fees". For a $1,000 swap, it is the gap between $1.00 and $9.50.
the vendor's side
Kerberus discloses the fee in its terms. Its Terms of Use, last updated 25 September 2025, say the extension's default setting enables full Sentinel3 protection, and that with it on "you will incur a service fee" of 0.95% on swaps routed through the Jupiter aggregator, and 0.8% on Uniswap or PancakeSwap routes. What that buys, per the same terms, is the extension's protection features and, on Sentinel3 Pro, coverage of up to $30,000 for eligible losses through a partner, Fairside.
Pocket Universe's terms, last updated 25 February 2026, say it is operated by the same company, Kerberus Cyber Security, Inc. Its default also enables full protection, with a service fee "displayed to you prior to signing". Those terms print no rate for Jupiter.
So both sides agree the fee is real. Jupiter calls it a referral fee injected by an extension it doesn't maintain. Kerberus calls it the price of protection it switches on by default. Whether that protection is worth 0.95% of every Jupiter swap is your call. Paying it without knowing is the only bad version.
where the money is
Fees are part of the quote you approve, so the extra on swaps already made was taken inside those swaps. Jupiter lists fixes, not refunds.
check it every time
Jupiter's own Ultra schedule runs from 0% to 0.5%, depending on the pair. Gasless swaps add the gas Jupiter paid for you, capped at 10% of the trade. Anything else above the schedule on jup.ag is someone else's fee. The whole schedule, including the Mobile app's: jupiter fees.
