robinhood stock tokens onchain, and what the token actually is

A Robinhood Stock Token is a tokenised debt security that Robinhood Assets (Jersey) Limited issues: it offers economic exposure to an underlying security and no legal or beneficial rights in that security. Robinhood Chain is the network that Robinhood designed for tokenized real-world assets of this kind.

So the token is not the share. What it carries is the economic exposure. The rights in the share, and any rights against the company that issued it, are not part of it, and the token's issuer is RHJ, as Robinhood abbreviates it.

the token and the chain are separate things

The chain is the network. Robinhood Chain is a permissionless, Ethereum-compatible Layer-2. Anyone can interact with the network, build applications and deploy smart contracts. It is chain ID 4663 and pays gas in ETH, and add robinhood chain to a wallet has the five fields.

Look on chain 4663, in its explorer at robinhoodchain.blockscout.com, and read the contract rather than the name. A name is free to copy. A contract address is not.
