withdrew from kucoin on the wrong network
If the withdrawal still shows Pending, cancel it on the withdrawal page; if it shows Processing, contact KuCoin support at once. Once it shows Succeeded, KuCoin can't cancel it. On your own 0x wallet, on a different EVM chain, it is at the same address on that chain. At another exchange, only that exchange's support can look.
first, check the status
Go to Assets, Overview, Withdraw and locate the withdrawal.
- Pending: waiting to be processed, usually within 30 minutes. Press Cancel on the withdrawal page.
- Processing: KuCoin is sending it, which can take 2-3 hours. Contact KuCoin's online support now; it will check whether it can still cancel.
- Succeeded: it is on the blockchain and can't be cancelled. Take the TxID and read on.
your own wallet, another evm chain
Say you sent USDC to your MetaMask address on BNB Smart Chain when you meant Arbitrum. Your address is the same on every EVM chain, so MetaMask files this under recoverable: the funds are there. Switch the wallet to the chain you sent on and they show. From there you can bridge them where you meant them to go.
evm and non-evm crossed
An 0x address on a Solana network, or a Solana address on an EVM one, is a different case. MetaMask says the tokens are likely gone for good, because an address on one kind of network does not match any address on the other.
sent to another exchange
Contact that exchange's support with the TxID. KuCoin says the receiving platform is the one to ask, and offers to send it any proof it needs. Whether that exchange can recover a deposit on a network it does not support is up to it.
the other way: into kucoin on the wrong network
Here KuCoin has a self-recovery form, for deposits into your KuCoin account:
- The deposit must show as confirmed on chain, and its network has to be in the form's Deposit Network list.
- The funds go back only to the address they were sent from.
- A missing or wrong memo: 2-3 days and 40 USDT.
- An unlisted token on a supported network: 2-3 days and 80 USDT.
- You pay the fee from your Funding Account once the application is approved, and the refund lands within 5 business days. KuCoin says not every deposit can be retrieved, and refunds the fee if it can't go ahead after you paid.
- A deposit to an address that isn't KuCoin's, or to another user's, can't be recovered.
nobody real DMs you about it
Ignore anyone who messages you offering to recover your funds. MetaMask says it will never message you or ask for your recovery phrase, and anyone who does is a scammer. Go through the exchange's own support, from its own site.
Next time, the network check is on withdraw from kucoin to a wallet, and the same checks for any exchange are on sending crypto from an exchange to your own wallet.
People also ask
Which network do I pick to withdraw from KuCoin to my wallet?
The one your wallet receives on: check the network KuCoin matches from the address against the one your wallet showed. A memo only if the receiving side shows one. The fee and minimum show on the withdrawal page.
the full answerHow do I send crypto from an exchange to my own wallet?
Copy the address from the wallet's receive screen and pick the network the wallet showed you, not the cheapest one. A memo is only for a receiving side that asks for one. Send a small amount first, then the rest.
the full answerHow do I get crypto from an exchange onto Solana, Hyperliquid or Robinhood Chain?
Buy on the exchange, withdraw to your own wallet on the network your next stop uses, then trade there. SOL on Solana for Axiom, Photon or Jupiter. USDC on Arbitrum for Hyperliquid, unless the exchange sends there directly. ETH on Ethereum, then bridged, for Robinhood Chain.
