withdraw from kraken to a wallet: network, memo, fee and minimum

Add and confirm the address first, then pick the network your wallet receives on: Solana for a Phantom Solana address, and for an 0x address the EVM chain you mean to use it on. Enter a memo or tag only if the receiving side shows you one. The fee and the minimum depend on the network, and the final fee shows when you confirm.

before you start

Paid with a card or a digital wallet? For those, Kraken delays withdrawals by 72 hours. And Kraken will only send to an address that you added and confirmed.

add the address

  1. In the withdraw screen, Add new withdrawal address.
  2. Give it a label no other address on your account uses.
  3. Paste the address from your wallet's receive screen. Never type it.
  4. From a trusted device it's approved at once. Otherwise Kraken emails a link, valid for one hour.

Changed your password without sign-in 2FA or a master key on? New addresses are held for 24 hours.

the steps

  1. Portfolio, then Withdraw.
  2. Pick the crypto.
  3. Choose the network your receiving wallet uses.
  4. Type an amount at or above the minimum.
  5. Check the network and that the To field is your address.
  6. If Kraken asks for an authenticator code, it's your funding 2FA, not your sign-in one.

No email follows. The status is in your activity tab. This is the kraken.com flow; Kraken Pro has its own steps.

the network

Kraken's rule: always pick the network your receiving wallet uses. The wrong one can lose the funds for good.

Kraken lists SOL on a single network, Solana, and USDC on 23. Two of those are on Arbitrum One: native USDC and USDC.e. Choose the one the receiving side names.

If Kraken says Invalid Address, check you pasted into the address field, not the description, and that Kraken supports that address format.

memo or tag

A memo or tag tells an address shared by many users which account the funds belong to. Kraken takes its own XRP deposits that way: one address for every account, plus a ten-digit destination tag. If the receiving side shows you a memo or tag, enter it exactly. Your own wallet's address needs none.

Kraken says fees can change and the final one shows when you confirm.

test small, then send the rest

Send a small amount to a new address first and wait for it to show in the wallet. Spot a mistake while it's still Initiated? Cancel it. In Pending you may still be able to. Once it's broadcast, it can't be cancelled or reversed.

Wrong network already? withdrew from kraken on the wrong network. The same checks for any exchange are in sending crypto from an exchange to your own wallet, and where to take it next is in from an exchange to on-chain.

People also ask

I withdrew from Kraken on the wrong network. Can I get it back?

Not from Kraken once it's sent: its help says crypto withdrawals aren't reversible. On your own 0x wallet on another EVM chain it's at the same address there; at another exchange, ask that exchange with the TxID.

How do I send crypto from an exchange to my own wallet?

Copy the address from the wallet's receive screen and pick the network the wallet showed you, not the cheapest one. A memo is only for a receiving side that asks for one. Send a small amount first, then the rest.

How do I buy crypto on Kraken?

How do I get crypto from an exchange onto Solana, Hyperliquid or Robinhood Chain?

Buy on the exchange, withdraw to your own wallet on the network your next stop uses, then trade there. SOL on Solana for Axiom, Photon or Jupiter. USDC on Arbitrum for Hyperliquid, unless the exchange sends there directly. ETH on Ethereum, then bridged, for Robinhood Chain.
