axiom referral code: the 10% discount and when it attaches

Axiom attaches a referral at signup: sign up through a referral link, and the Sign Up box has a text field labelled Invite code (optional). Already have an account? Open a new one the same way. The account that signs up through a referral link gets a 10% discount on trading fees.

how it attaches, as far as anyone can show

  1. Sign up through a referral link. That is the documented event, and Axiom says the discount applies to accounts that do.
  2. Check the Sign Up box for Invite code (optional). It is on the signup box, before the account exists.
  3. Sign up with the account you will trade with. Axiom describes the discount on the account that signed up through the link and says nothing about moving it.
  4. Already have an account? Open a new one the same way, then send your SOL across to the new account's wallet.

The link. Axiom describes one event: sign up through a referral link, and the discount applies to that account. It says nothing about a code field, entering a code after signup, or backfilling past volume.

The field. Open Axiom's home page logged out and click Sign up. The Sign Up box has an Email field, then a text field labelled Invite code (optional), then the Sign Up button, Continue with Google, Connect with Phantom, and Already have an account? Login.

Axiom only documents the referral link. It doesn't say whether the link fills that field in for you, or what a code typed there does.
