# sniping off x posts with utek: the trigger, the size and the exit

Pick the narrowest trigger that still catches the post you want. A CA trigger buys the exact coin a tracked account posts. A keyword trigger buys a token you set in advance when the account uses a word, and fires on more posts than you meant. An image trigger fires on a picture. Then set one small, fixed buy size from a wallet that holds only what you can lose, set the exit before the task goes live, run it in Sandbox first, and read History after.

## set up the wallet first

1. Open uTek and click Wallets.
2. Pick a wallet, or click Create for a new one. Give uTek its own wallet and keep only what you can afford to lose in it. [your wallets](/uxento/portfolio/)
3. Click Set Up to put nonces on it. They let transactions land faster and cost about 0.0116 SOL once.

uTek runs on Pump.fun only for now. [setting up utek](/uxento/utek/)

## pick the trigger

The X/Twitter Sniper has six tabs: Keyword, CA, Activity, Image, Post and Interaction. Three of them carry most of the decision.

- **CA.** Buys when a tracked account posts a contract address, in any post type. It names the exact coin, so it's the narrowest. The catch is "any post type": a reply or a quote carrying someone else's CA counts too.
- **Keyword.** You paste a token address into the task, and it buys that token when a tracked account posts the word. It never picks up a coin from the post itself. Exact matches the word as a whole word. Partial also matches it inside other words, so "Elon" catches "Elongate". Partial is where most false positives come from. Allowed events set what can fire it: Tweets, Replies, Quotes, Retweets, Follows, Bio Change and Pinned. A retweet fires it even though the account didn't write the word, so tick only the events you mean.
- **Image.** You upload or paste an image, and it buys when a tracked account posts a match. Tweets, replies, quotes, retweets, PFP and banner changes can all count, so turn on only the ones you mean.

### what each one risks

- **Fake accounts.** Every trigger is tied to the accounts you list, so the list is the weak point. Check each handle before you add it. In Vision, the Scan button next to a post shows the author's past usernames, smart followers and CA history. A handle that changed names recently is worth a second look. [the x tracker](/uxento/x-tracker/)
- **Keyword false positives.** The word turns up in a joke, a reply, a retweet of something unrelated, and your token gets bought anyway. Use Exact unless you have a reason not to, and add the words that keep misfiring under Blacklisted keywords: the task skips any event that contains one.
- **The wrong token address.** A keyword task buys exactly the address you paste, so a wrong one is bought every time it fires. The same name and ticker can launch several times in minutes, so check the CA before you save. [vamps](/uxento/vamps/)
- **Copycat tickers.** Anything that finds a coin by name or ticker instead of CA, like the Coin Creation Sniper matching new tokens, can land on a copy. The first match isn't always the one people meant.

## keep the size small and fixed

Buy amounts are set per task in the uTek Module. Each sniper type has its own module, so set it on each one.

Pick one amount you can lose in full and use it on every task. Don't raise it after a fill goes your way. A fixed size means one loose trigger stays a small mistake, and it keeps your History readable: every result is the same bet.

The Keyword task's market cap filter takes a min and a max, and skips the buy outside them. Set it so a late fire doesn't buy a token that's already run past where you'd enter.

## priority fee and tip

Fees are set per task too. A Solana buy carries a priority fee, a tip, slippage and MEV Protection. A new Keyword task starts at a tip of 0.005 SOL, a priority fee of 0.001 SOL and 50% slippage.

A higher priority fee and tip push for a faster landing. You pay them on every fire, including the ones that land late or fire on the wrong post, and on a small fixed size they're a bigger share of each buy. Set them once, deliberately, rather than raising them in the moment. What each one costs: [uxento fees](/uxento/fees/).

## decide the exit before the entry

The task form's Advanced section holds the auto-sell. Set it while you build the task, not after the fill.

Decide three things up front: where you take some out, the loss you'll accept, and how long you'll hold if nothing happens. Whatever the auto-sell covers goes in the task. The rest you write down and do by hand.

## test it in sandbox first

1. In the uTek Module, click Test in Sandbox.
2. In Sandbox, pick an event type, write a fake post from the account you're tracking, and click Publish to Sandbox.
3. Watch the top right. A notification says what triggered.

![A test tweet mentioning a ticker published in Uxento Sandbox, with the sandbox ticker and CA detection rules listed on the right.](https://apebrief.com/assets/media/ux-sandbox-x-snipe.png)

Test the posts that shouldn't fire as well as the ones that should: the keyword inside a longer word, a reply carrying a different CA, a retweet of an unrelated post. Import Real copies your live setup in. Nothing in Sandbox touches your real config. [sandbox](/uxento/sandbox/)

## read history after

The History button lists every successful execution. Go through it against the posts you meant to catch. A buy you don't recognize is a trigger that's too loose: pause the task from the overview, tighten it, run it through Sandbox again.

## when it misses

Snipe speeds depend on X and vary. A snipe can miss, or land late at a worse price, and Uxento doesn't take responsibility for delays or losses caused by X. That's the case the small fixed size is for.
