# from an exchange to on-chain: buy, withdraw, then trade

Buy on the exchange, withdraw to a wallet on the network your next stop uses, then trade there: SOL on Solana for Axiom, Photon or Jupiter; USDC for Hyperliquid, on Arbitrum unless your exchange sends to Hyperliquid directly; ETH on Ethereum, bridged over, for Robinhood Chain. Each step has its own page below.

## 1. buy it

At the exchange, in the coin your next stop accepts. [How to buy crypto on binance](/exchanges/binance-buy/) offers card, P2P and bank transfer.

## 2. withdraw it

To your own wallet, on the network that wallet shows you for that coin. Pick the wrong one and the funds can be lost. [Sending crypto from an exchange to your own wallet](/exchanges/withdraw-to-wallet/) has the checks, [withdraw from binance to a wallet](/exchanges/binance-withdraw/) has one exchange's form, and [withdrew from binance on the wrong network](/exchanges/binance-wrong-network/) has what's recoverable.

## 3. take it where you trade

| to trade on | withdraw | then | the page |
|---|---|---|---|
| Axiom | SOL on Solana | withdraw straight to the wallet Axiom shows under Deposit | [where deposit is on axiom](/axiom/deposit/) |
| Photon | SOL on Solana, to your own wallet | deposit it from that wallet into Photon's | [how depositing on photon works](/photon/deposit/) |
| Jupiter | SOL on Solana, to your own wallet | swap from that wallet on jup.ag | [slippage and priority fee on jupiter](/jupiter/settings/) |
| Hyperliquid | USDC on Arbitrum, unless the exchange lists Hyperliquid | deposit it, never under 5 USDC | [getting funds onto hyperliquid](/hyperliquid/bridge/) |
| Robinhood Chain | ETH on Ethereum | add chain 4663, then bridge it over | [add the network](/robinhood-chain/add-network/), [bridge onto it](/robinhood-chain/bridge/) |

Hyperliquid says many exchanges withdraw to it directly. Binance lists no Hyperliquid network for USDC, so from Binance it's Arbitrum. Hyperliquid says a deposit under 5 USDC is lost, not credited.

Robinhood Chain's canonical bridge brings ETH over from Ethereum, and deposits usually confirm within 10 minutes.

## nfts

OpenSea lists NFTs on Ethereum, Solana, Base, Robinhood Chain and many other chains, and says it can buy an NFT on one chain with funds on another. Withdraw the coin to a wallet OpenSea connects to, then follow [buying an NFT on opensea](/exchanges/opensea-buy/).

## related questions

- **How do I send crypto from an exchange to my own wallet?** Copy the address from the wallet's receive screen and pick the network the wallet showed you, not the cheapest one. A memo is only for a receiving side that asks for one. Send a small amount first, then the rest.
- **Which network do I pick to withdraw from Binance to my wallet?** The one your wallet receives on, never the cheapest: Solana for a Phantom Solana address, the chain you plan to use for an 0x address. The fee and minimum depend on the network and show on the form. Test small first.
- **How do I get EVM tokens onto Hyperliquid?** Get to Arbitrum USDC, then use Deposit in the app. There is no any-ERC20-in button. Do not send the token at a Hyperliquid address and hope.
- **Where is deposit on Axiom?** Click the labelled Deposit button in the top bar, not an arrow. It opens a panel titled Exchange, and its Deposit tab shows the address of the wallet Axiom generated for your account. Send SOL there, on Solana. Your old wallet's balance is not your Axiom balance.
