# withdrew from binance on the wrong network

Binance can't pull it back: once crypto leaves Binance for another platform, Binance can no longer help. Where it landed decides the rest. On your own 0x wallet, on a different EVM chain, it is at the same address on that chain. At another exchange, only that exchange's support can look.

## first, find where it went

Get the withdrawal's TxID and check it on the explorer for the network you selected. The receiving address and the network there are the facts; this page sorts the rest by them.

## your own wallet, another evm chain

Say you sent USDC to your MetaMask address on BNB Smart Chain when you meant Arbitrum. Your address is the same on every EVM chain, so MetaMask files this under recoverable: the funds are there. Switch the wallet to the chain you sent on and they show. From there you can bridge them where you meant them to go.

## evm and non-evm crossed

An 0x address on a Solana network is a separate case, and so is a Solana address on an EVM one. MetaMask says the tokens are probably lost for good, since an address on one type of network does not match any address on the other.

## sent to another exchange

Contact that exchange's support with the TxID. Binance says a wrong address or memo on a withdrawal to another platform is for the receiving platform to handle. Whether it can recover a deposit on a network it does not support is up to that exchange. Binance does it for deposits into Binance, below.

## the other way: into binance on the wrong network

Here Binance does have a process, self-service recovery, for deposits into your Binance account only:

- The deposit must show as confirmed on chain, and still be missing after 1 hour.
- Apply with its TxID. The form fills in the coin, network and amount if Binance can see the transaction.
- Tokens on an EVM network Binance does not support: 30 working days and a 20 USDT fee.
- A missing or wrong memo: 7 working days and the network withdrawal fee.
- The fee is charged only if the recovery works. Binance says not every deposit can be retrieved.

## nobody real DMs you about it

Ignore anyone who messages you offering to recover your funds. MetaMask says it will never message you or ask for your recovery phrase, and anyone who does is a scammer. Go through the exchange's own support, from its own site.

Next time, the network check is on [withdraw from binance to a wallet](/exchanges/binance-withdraw/), and the same checks for any exchange are on [sending crypto from an exchange to your own wallet](/exchanges/withdraw-to-wallet/).

## related questions

- **Which network do I pick to withdraw from Binance to my wallet?** The one your wallet receives on, never the cheapest: Solana for a Phantom Solana address, the chain you plan to use for an 0x address. The fee and minimum depend on the network and show on the form. Test small first.
- **How do I send crypto from an exchange to my own wallet?** Copy the address from the wallet's receive screen and pick the network the wallet showed you, not the cheapest one. A memo is only for a receiving side that asks for one. Send a small amount first, then the rest.
- **How do I get crypto from an exchange onto Solana, Hyperliquid or Robinhood Chain?** Buy on the exchange, withdraw to your own wallet on the network your next stop uses, then trade there. SOL on Solana for Axiom, Photon or Jupiter. USDC on Arbitrum for Hyperliquid, unless the exchange sends there directly. ETH on Ethereum, then bridged, for Robinhood Chain.

## when this is not enough

For USDC headed to Hyperliquid, it names one network to pick when an exchange cannot send there directly, Arbitrum, so there is one choice to get right on the form. [how to bridge to hyperliquid, and when you can skip arbitrum](https://apebrief.com/hyperliquid/bridge/)
