# how to export your axiom private key: the recovery key

Axiom has no export button on each wallet. The export is the Recovery Key: click your avatar, top right, then Account and Security, then View Recovery Key. That shows your seed phrase, which Axiom labels as the way to export your accounts. Import it into a standard wallet like Phantom, Rabby or Solflare and you have direct access to your funds from there.

## where it is

1. Click your avatar, top right.
2. Choose **Account and Security**.
3. Find the **Recovery Key** row. Its line reads "Access your seed phrase to export your accounts. DO NOT SHARE!"
4. Click **View Recovery Key**, somewhere nobody can see your screen.

This is the same phrase Axiom showed you at signup, the one it says lets you recover your wallets at any time.

DO NOT SHARE!, then Language, Wallets, Rewards and Advanced Settings. The account card at the top is masked.](https://apebrief.com/assets/media/axiom-recovery-key.png)

## import it into a standard wallet

Axiom's own advice is to import the phrase into a standard wallet such as Phantom, Rabby or Solflare, so you always have direct access to your funds.

1. Install the wallet app yourself, from its own site or your phone's app store.
2. Choose to import an existing wallet, and enter the phrase.
3. Your Axiom funds are now reachable from that app too. Send, swap or hold from there.

Axiom is non-custodial: the assets you hold stay in your control, and the phrase is that control. To send funds off Axiom, this is the route. [how to withdraw from axiom](/axiom/withdraw/)

## why there's no private key button

On Portfolio's Wallets tab, each wallet row offers Rename wallet, Show my X on this wallet and Open in Solscan. The header has Import, Create and Show Archived. None of them exports a key. The Recovery Key row is the only export Axiom puts on screen. [adding and switching wallets](/axiom/wallets/)

## the rest of the panel

Account and Security opens with a card for your account, then a row for each setting:

- **Support Code**: "Authorize our support team to help troubleshoot your account", with Generate Code.
- **Recovery Key**: View Recovery Key.
- **Wallets**: "Add or manage your external wallet accounts", with Manage Wallets.
- Language, Rewards, Advanced Settings and Reset Local Cache.

## if you need axiom's help

Use the Support Code row. Generate Code authorizes Axiom's support team to troubleshoot your account, so nobody helping you needs your phrase. The Recovery Key row says DO NOT SHARE; type the phrase only into a wallet app you installed yourself.

- **How do I withdraw on Axiom?** Tokens sit in the connected wallet. Open that wallet and send. Axiom is not holding a queue. If the token is hidden, enable the mint in the wallet list.
- **Where is deposit on Axiom?** Click the labelled Deposit button in the top bar, not an arrow. It opens a panel titled Exchange, and its Deposit tab shows the address of the wallet Axiom generated for your account. Send SOL there, on Solana. Your old wallet's balance is not your Axiom balance.
- **I swapped on Axiom and the token is gone** Check the tx on a Solana explorer first. Destination address and mint are the ground truth. Then enable that mint in the wallet. Do not swap again to find it.
